1992 - Company Founded In 1992 three Brungardt brothers, Bill, Matt and Chris, and Kevin Honomichl, channeled their entrepreneurial spirit to start their own engineering firm named Brungardt Honomichl & Company, P.A. (BHC). From humble beginnings working from their living room, they took their knowledge in Telecommunication and built what is today, BHC RHODES. Fast forward twenty years. BHC RHODES now has three office locations in Kansas, four major services segments and three Best Places to Work titles. Not bad for four small town boys from Kansas.
1993 - First Development Project First commercial site development was a bowling alley in Oak Grove, MO, which is now called Broadway Bowl.

1999 - First Public Works Project First Public Works customer - KDOT. The project was design of A+ grade railroad Crossing Safety in St. Mary's, Kansas.
2000 - K-State Scholarship Program Established

2003 - MSNBC Pick of the Week Focus for MSNBC's Pick of the Week due to the importance placed on customer service and being one of the Kansas City area's fastest growing companies.

2005 - Best Places to Work Voted by employees through the Kansas City Business Journal's annual contest.
2005 - Merger with Rhodes Surveying, Inc. , adds Surveying Services and 2nd Office BHC merged with Rhodes Surveyors, Inc. to form BHC RHODES. Located in downtown Kansas City, KS, the 2nd office houses the most extensive land survey records for Wyandotte County.

2006 - 3D Laser Scanning One of the area's first companies to have 3D High-definition surveying technology. First project was the deteriorating Turkey Creek Diversion Tunnel which ran under highway I-35 and into the Kansas river.
2006 - 2nd Time Winner Best Places to Work BJ & CE News Voted by employees through the Kansas City Business Journal's annual contest and CE News' national contest.
2007 - Storm Water Services Added
2007 - Office Expansions Due to significant growth both offices expanded and moved to new locations. The Kansas City, Kansas office restored 2 floors of the historic Kansas City Kansan newspaper building. The Overland Park office moved from Corporate Woods down College Blvd., and located across from the Overland Park Convention Center.
2007 - Expansion of Land Records Library Expanded records library with the acquisition of assets from Campbell Barber Lambeth. The engineering design and land surveying data added fifty years of historical information from Johnson and Wyandotte Counties in Kansas, as well as Clay, Platte and Jackson Counties in Missouri.
2008 - International Award Winner 3D Laser Scanning Winner of the 2nd place international award for being the most intuitive and user friendly representation of the use of high definition scanning.
2009 - LEED Accreditation Began offering customers the expertise of green building practices and principles with certification through the LEED Rating System.
2009 - New Office Dodge City, KS Opened their third office location with a full range of services available to western Kansas and surrounding areas.
2010 - Listed on All-Time Winner's - Honor Roll Honor Roll in Ingram's Magazine Corporate Report.
2011 - Murray Rhodes, L.S. Announces Retirement Murray Rhodes, L.S. announces his retirement plans for early 2012 after nearly 50 years in surveying.
