She is very deserving of recognition because of her unselfish involvement in The Hope Center located in Kansas City, Missouri,” Honomichl added. “Julie has brought out the best in so many people and organizations by providing encouragement and involving many others with The Hope Center. Julie’s actions resulted in new teaching pods for over 60 children, a new heating system, roof replacements, new windows, walls and doors and a multitude of other needed improvements for the center”, said Chris Jehle, Executive Director of The Hope Center, during his comments at the breakfast. Tony Richardson of the Kansas City Chiefs was the award presenter. Richardson is well known not only for his action on the field but for his ongoing, positive action in the community, and is a very strong advocate for programs that help children. BHC leaders also announced a financial contribution in Julie’s honor to The Hope Center.
