BLUE BIRD MEDIA, LLC HIRES BHC RHODES FOR CONSTRUCTION
ADMINISTRATION OF NEW FIBER OPTIC SYSTEM IN MISSOURI

Bluebird Network, LLC is bringing high-speed internet access to an underserved 59 county region in northern and central Missouri. BHC RHODES was selected to perform construction administration for approximately 952 miles of new fiber ring segments. This project received a $45M Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP) Broadband Infrastructure grant, from the Reinvestment in America Act, for deployment of a broadband network.

Primary considerations given for selecting BHC RHODES included extensive experience working with Outside Plant engineering/construction, stability of the company, client references and cost. The project will benefit rural communities by building ultra high speed "middle mile" network to bring bandwidth to underserved areas. This network will bring rural Missouri the ability to create and sustain economic development opportunities. Hospitals, schools, higher education, agriculture, local governments, and libraries will have the capacity and speed they need to be cost-efficient and better serve the public. Bluebird Network is a public-private partnership, with the State of Missouri, federal government and private investors.
