Presentation Topic: Using assessments to gage needs and treatments

The LIDAR can collect more field data than conventional survey techniques in less field time. The data is useful in detailing stream and bank irregularities, structures such as bridges, difficult features such as boulders and steep edges, and retrieval of cross-sections down to an interval of 6-inches. This information will enhance stream, wetland, and lake assessments by providing more detailed information that can be directly utilized in project designs.
